Help Save my fish (tank)

i have a reef tank with tangs clown fish and wrasses. my tank has been up and running in a very clean for more than 5 years matter but all of a sudden my purple tang and nano have developed a form of ich. i have sps and lps and nems in the tank. what if anything can i do to treat the tank with killing the coral? i am very sad that i may be starting completely over.

i have everything QT from a fish stand point.
when can i start replacing or rebuilding my coral in the tank and/or start to add shrimp or pods?

Parasites can come in on anything wet! Fish are the main carriers, but other parts of their life cycle can come in on rocks, sand, inverts, coral plugs, etc. That is probably how you got this problem. If you want to add to your display, the 72 day clock starts over when anything new is added. It's awful, but necessary. Having two qurantine tanks is the only way to have long term success in this hobby. One tank is for fish, and the other for everything else.

QT the fish only. Wait 60 days minimum for ich to die in main tank. Leave invertebrates in main tank. If you are going to add something other than fish to DT I would do it on day one of main tank with no fish.

Here is the TTM link. Also if you are unable to do the TTM, the next best option is to put the fish in a big enough QT and do hypo-salinity at 1.009 (no higher, no lower) for it to be effective. I do not use Cooper as it can be dangerous to the fish. Go fallow for at 72 days, not 60. Some hobbyist go 90, to be safe. Good Luck!
