Hello I purchased a yellow coris wrasse last week. after a couple days I had a strange feeling I would never see him because there was no sign what so ever. To my surprise while doing a water change he is down in my sump. My sump is under my tank with limited room. my attempts to catch him with a net havent worked, as he either goes somewhere I cant reach or burries himself in the sand. Any ideas how to get him out of there and back into my tank?

Thanks

I would block off part of the sump with eggcrate (or something similar) to keep it in a smaller area, then use a net to herd it into another net.

try putting a bowl of sand in the sump, he should bury himself in there when stressed.

thats how my wrasse is in my BB tank

Wrasses are generally pigs. Try the inverted bottle trap that folks use for shrimp. When I was trying to get my peppermint shrimp out, the only thing I reliably could catch in the bottle trap was my Tail Spot Wrasse. One smell of some mysis shrimp and in he went.
