help selecting a new protein skimmes

i have a system with about 250g of water and looking for a skimmer that will handle a 300g system. im thinking of a swc cone or a reef octopus. i dont know what one would be better for my system. i currently have a few LPS and a few softies. but looking to grow on my LPS more over the year. im hopping you all can give me some good ideas and insite on what to really look for. are cone skimmers really worth the extra money or are the hybreds like the reef octo sro series better?

I would look into a skimmer with the Askol based pumps, no problems I have heard about them. I believe that SWC has some and Hurricane skimmers also.

thank you. never seen a askol pump what makes them good and how do they conpair to a bubble blaster? i know what bubble blaster is like the reef oct sro has.
