Help! small red rectangle dots in my tank??

I am seeing a lot of small rectangle dark red dots growing on my rocks. They are about 2mm x 1mm, very small, and flat. I can blow them off with a turkey baster. I see a few on the glass. They look like some form of plant life, not a worm or creature. The color is a dark maroon red, although with bright light behind them I can see mor foa rusty orange color. Any ideas to help get me pointed in the right direction?

flat worms have a forked end, right? these are simple rectangles. I can see a few in my ball of chaeto too. They don't seem to move. I don't see a forked end.

I have come to the conclusion they are indeed the flatworms. I might try the "Exit" product after I try to vacuum out as many as possible first.
