So I have a 34g mix reef.... hammer x2, duncan, wall frogspawn, torch, birdnest, poccillo, toadstool, etc..

So I had 2 clowns die about a week apart... Looks like bacterial. Ate away at the fins into the body over a 2 day period.

My torch with 6 heads, has had 3 heads die. It starts off with some brown stuff on it, then later eating away away all the tissue in a matter of a couple of days.

Now its my wall frogspawn. It has eaten away about 15% of it.

I've tried dipping both in revive and a couple of times now in ~33% peroxide.

I just dont want it to spread to my other corals...

1.026, no detectable nitrate/phos (probably have some, but not much).
77-80 degrees, just a bangaii in the tank now... 150w MH.

any suggestions?? I dont have a frag tank, but I do have a 17g that I can transfer livestock too.. I dip all livestock in revive prior to entering the tank.

Maybe try some Coral RX??

Look up brown jelly disease. Revive or coral rx or other iodine based dips won't really help at all if that's it.

What are your cal/alk/mag levels?

Thanks tek... I think it is BJD. Seems fairly common with LPS also. I guess I will try to get a hold of some CAM(Chloroamphenicol). I see some sources(out of country) online, but shipping is very delayed. Do you know where I can get some ASAP? PM me if neccessary...

~420 CA
~9 alk
~1250 mg

Good luck getting that stuff, lol, took me well over a month to get some awhile back. You can try using an insecticide actually, I've had success stopping BJD with that. Bayer advanced complete insect killer, you can get it at Home Depot. 10ml per cup water, dip for ~3-5 min, baste the coral gently to get the dead tissue off. Just look up Whisperer's thread on the Bayer here on RC and be careful with it. The dip won't harm the coral, but you have to be careful. Wear gloves, rinse the coral extremely well in clean saltwater to remove all trace of the bayer before adding back to tank.
