If you have sand, a pink spotted goby will be good. I love their grumpy faces, always chasing someone away from their home, but never doing any damage. soft corals and mushrooms are relatively easy. I just got a pom pom crab today, so cute! basically I could tell you my list of what I want in my tank. What do YOU want it to be?

I was hoping to have a hippo tang, however after reading the sticky on tank sizes for tangs, my 100g isn't big enough for it sadly
I have 3 tangs (Hippo, Yellow, Powder Blue) in my 115g that get along great. I'd suggest any one of those as long as you have a 48" or longer tank. Flame Angels are also very cool. Lots of options in a 100g. I'd get some sort of shoaling fish as well.

That's really bad advice. Hippo tangs get really big, are prone to ich, and do not belong in a 4-foot tank, ever. A powder blue in a tank that size is also a bad idea.
To the OP, you'll be much happier in the long term keeping medium to smaller fish, with just one or two "showpieces." Gobies are great fun, as suggested. You could keep a pistol shrimp with it, but I would worry about your hawkfish.
You could do some wrasses, if your tank is well covered (like with 1/4" bird netting). Chalk bass, a dwarf angel, a lot of possibilities that are easy to keep, active, and attractive. I would look around at Live Aquaria and other websites to see what strikes your fancy, then ask about specific fish you're interested in.

These fish are actually much easier to keep than the 'experts' imply. I wouldn't worry about it. If it gets too big (remember they grow about 2" in the first year, 1" after), then sell him, or get a larger tank. If we went by what ^^^^ conservatively guessed at in terms of tank sizes, no one would successfully own acanthurus tangs.

i would think a flame angle or a scjool of chromis would be kool
a purple tang?, yellow tang?, chevron tang? there quite nice
some bannerfish,
various "reef with caution" butterflies. ie pyramid,golden,yellow long nose,
a dwarf angel
a shoal of anthias, a shoal of dartfish?
midas blenny there always lovely.
harlequin tusk if u dont mind losing shrimps and crabs
if u fancie a challenge a regal angel. IMO one of if not the most beautiful fish, and should be fine in your size tank.

Not trying to lecture, but did you quarantine those 2? You're walking on thin ice if not - tangs and dwarf angels are both pretty disease prone IME. :hmm2: Be careful with the puffer - it will probably outgrow your tank or become a problem in a reef...

well since the puffer is in there that opens up the door to a trigger aswell... blue throats are awesome.
