HELP! sun coral sick?

hi all.. just have a quick qns to ask i noticed that my sun coral is producing a lot of mucous or at least some gooey stuff from its mouth. noticed it because when i feed it brine shrimp the food all clump tgt in a long string after in contact with the sun coral and cant seem to separate. also the mucous is so thick it forms on the water surface even! is this normal and shld i be concerned? other than this the sun coral is feeding but does not seem to open up at all.. thanks for any replies!

i dont know much about it but i read once b4 that corals produce this mucus to feed other corals around them. maybe someone who knows more can explain it better.
