You probably have an algae problem.
Please check your nitrates, phosphates and silicates, primarily.
Would be a good idea to check all the params and see how they're doing.
To fix water chemistry and light is the right way to eradicate algae problems.

Please post all the details about your system and the problem. That way you'll be helping others to find out what's wrong.

Looks more like a bacterial bloom to me. Do you dose carbon?

I have a similar white fuzz in one of my frag tanks, and it has been slowly going away with heavy skimming and W/C's
