Help to complete buy

Hello, I´ve just bought my first computer!

GHL Redox-Electrode BNC PL-0093
GHL ProfiLux 3.1T eX, SCHUKO (Europe)

My goal is to control a nitrate filter. I need to pump water if redox potencial drop below minus 170.

What else do I need to buy? Just the power bar or I need to order some cables?

I see this but it does not says anything about cables: GHL STDL4-4-AUS (AUS) PL-0424

Is there any user manual you recomend me to read?

Thanks,
Julio

Yes this is quite easy by using the auto up down function of the redox prob control in the profilux.

The power bar should come with a cable!

If you only need a couple of plugs then yes this will do. But I recommend you look at a 6D PAB version if you need to move the power bar any distance from the profilux. The max length of cable of the PAB system is around 100mts(And is just a Ethernet cable). Where as the STDL4 is can only be moved away a short distance(You can buy a longer cable if needed)

Go to the this forum as it is the official GHL support forum!

OK,
The system did not show the below text in my post above even though I can see it when I go to edit.
So here it is for your info

Go to the GHL site to download the manuals

Thanks for the replies. I´ve started reading everything.

It seems STDL4 are not produced anymore so I can´t buy them. They were enough for me since I have the aquariums and the computer in a small room (and half the price of the new ones).

If I add a second Ph/ORP sensor will I be able to control PH or Redox in two different aquariums?

Regards,
Julio

Yes you will!.
But to add second PH and Redox will require and add on card. Also keep in mind the probes cables are not long so the tank will need to be close by.
If the tank is further away, then the Expansion box would be the best option with additional probes, etc which uses PAB as connection so can be up to 100mts away from the main profilux!
To control you will also need corresponding switches etc so another power bar if on an expansion box.

I was looking for an ORP controller and since they were expensive (half the price of GHL compluter + Probes) y bought the computer.

Now I´m regreting not having bought it earlier!!

In the future I will need the expansion box because I have two fish rooms in different parts of the house.

Is there any air CO2 probe that can be used with GHL computer?

I have a lot of fish in a small room and I always keep the window a bit open to prevent excess of CO2. It would be easier to turn a fan on and off depending on CO2 concentration.

Yesterday I didn´t knew abaut GHL and now I keep thinking everything that can be automated :)

Not that I am aware of.
They have a dissolved oxygen probe available, but I don't run that as it seems it is expensive to keep maintained and calibrated.

Yes it is a pretty good system for aquariums, hardware is impressive and reliable, it is only let down by software functionality for a number of devices.

Yes, calibrating probes is something to consider.

Next to my aquariums I will have an Hydroponic Greenhouse that I´ll control with the GHL computer.

I will controll PH, air temp and humidity, conductivity, water temp and O2 but if some of this probes are difficult to keep calibrated I´ll avoid using them.

the calibration of the probes is quite simple, only the O2 probe calibration is a bit tricky, but this comes from the special measurement method and is not unusual

Do you think it is worth to have the O2 module? It is expensive but it is good for hidroponics.
