I can see thru you!
i'll be visiting orlando area this wekend and would like to know which stores carry a nice variety of sps corals and which is a must see store in the area. i only have sat and sun to see these stores and with gas at $4/gal i need to find the stores that carry stuff that intrest me. any help would be appreciated.

thanks

are you looking for frags or colonies? For frags you want to go to sea in the city for sure. For colonies I'd hit up ocean blue, Aquarium fanatics or blue reef Marine. Those are my favs anyway.

as far as exotics go world wide corals is a must see for exotic selections. Ocean blue does have some nice big colonies, Blue reef marine has some of the biggest elegance I have ever seen, I personally haven't been to Aquarium fanatics yet.

Heres a link to all of our sponsors in the area, maybe you could google map them to see which ones will be close to the area you will be in.

thanks guys!! really appreciate it! i found that link in your club's forum but it doesn't give you any indication on what the stores specialty is as far as type of corals or dry goods. that's why i 'm asking for input to stores specialty. for me it doesn't matter where the store is but would like to eliminate going to a store that specialize in say softies when i'm looking for sps especially if the store is across town. thanks again

You might check out the individual store forums on the orca website too to see what stores have listed their incoming livestock to give you a general idea what you can find here.

Sea in the City has some wonderful colonies but also a lot of little frags if you like nano tanks and definitely some exotic frags as well. They also end up getting some really neat fish in and have from what I have seen some different brands of drygoods and products from other stores. Of course there will be some overlap

Make note that Ocean's Blue and Aquaria Studio are both run by the same owner, but he does keep a little bit of different stock at each store. If it's more gas efficient to visit one it might save you a trip.

There are quite a few stores within a relatively short drive between Lake Mary and Altamonte area too that if you took a day you could probably hit them all and there's some variety between them as well.

I'm not sure what other parts of florida are like as far as livestock but I know the visitors we get from land locked states are always impressed. It seems like coastal states are able to snag the higher quality stuff.

Have a safe trip this weekend and happy hunting!

I suggest World Wide Corals, and Sea in the City. They always have lots of sps. Not to mention World Wide Corals is pretty much a store for corals, I know there selling fish now, but they have like 8 180 gal tanks full of corals.
