Hi
Last week I picked up my first Lps, it being a Torch coral. It seemed to have been doing very well, fully extended and looking as happy as a coral could look. About one hour ago it started to retract, then this brown slime started coming out of its mouths. All my fish where very much interested in this and my yellow tang would eat it all up. Every couple of seconds a tiny pellet would come out and my clowns would snap it up. My cleaner shrimp would also jump on the coral for a second and run off, then after a minute or so come back and repeat. It has two heads and both are doing the same. Their mouths are also completely open. Is it exuming it's internals?? I took a video, but my camera on my iPhone can't pick it up properly. I'm gonna try and post something in a minute. Right now my lights went out on the tank and i think I should leave them off to reduce any kind of stress if the coral is indeed in trouble. Please let me know if I should be doing anything.?!:sad2:
