my closed brain's skeleton is kinda showing. right now i dont have it attached or glued to the rock its just sitting there and yesterday i noticed a section touching the rock started to receed. today the skeleton was showing and the color was dissappearing around that area. wen i picked it up there was huge copepod taking up residence under the frag, could that be the problem?
anyways here are some pics...

its under T5 lighting about 15" down.

thanks for the help before hand.

From my experience the pod could be the problem. I had a problem with some ampipods eating zoa frags I put in my fuge and two living on my goniopora munching on it. Having a fish to keep the population under control worked for me. I have no problems with this in the display where my two pigmy angels munch on the pods. If you have a small piece of egg crate you may try raising the brain a little. That may give your fish a chance to eat the pod.

thanks for the answer, i was thinking it might be that amphipod. i read somewere that wen the tissue of a lobo is damaged it is practically irrasistable to oppurtunistic predetors, maybe its the same for closed brains. well anyways ill raise the brain a little and see if it recovers...

was waiting till my pop population was able to support a mandarin, might be getting one soon then...
