Help w my powder blue (has ich and swimming high

Hi,

this powder blue tang was purchased 3 days ago. He had ich and I placed him in a QT tank. I am using ich - x and he has been in it for two days now. Today, I noticed that he is swimming high and sticking out his forehead out of the water and he is still doing that til now. Can anyone tell me what might be wrong? Thanks!

What about the swimming like that? He has been swimming like in picture since this morning I woke up. I was thinking that it is oxygen issue so I attached an air tube to the maxijet in the tank so it can bring in air.

The air hose & bubbles don't help much ;they look like they should, but release the air into the air above the tank as they burst. Gases are exchanged at the waters surface. Pointing a OH slightly up will keep the surface water slightly agitated and allow more oxygen. However, I don't think this what is really bothering the fish, I'd bet a huge ich infestation in the gills.The fish also looks very skinny, but could be the pic. Take the advice from Snorvich, read the sticky, and start ich treatment ASAP. Also, have you checked ammonia and what are you using to control ammonia?
