Hey all,
This morning.. due to a screwed up fridge.. my home's earth circuit breaker went off... My family(not being electronically highly educated) went and have a go countless times at the circuit breaker switch... Causing my K2 to go... I thank god the chiller wasn't the victim though...

Just a question... Would my tank(with 1 SPS-montipora and LPSes of many..) survive a day without it?? Cause now I'm in college and I really can't do anything about it till later today..

Help!!

Does the wavemaker control all the circulation in the tank? If not it shouldn't be a problem. If so, maybe you could have someone at home plug one of the pumps into a different outlet.
I would think even with out water movement, if it for a short time, things should be OK. We have had power go out for a couple hours and all was fine.

If by "day" you mean six or so until you get there, maybe...but water movement is very critical, so unfortunately depending on the number/type of corals in your tank, you may sustain several or more losses.

Any chance anyone can be trusted to rush out to an lfs and get a maxi jet to drop in the tank until you get home?

Well here's a small list of it...
The K2 shorted out.. not the plug..

Corals range from many types of LPS.. and 1 Orange Monti SPS..
Fishes are six line, marron clown, and algae blenny(thats it!)

My Canister and chiller is still running... So are the protein skimmer.. just the powerhead which is dead..
