Help !!! What is this around the base of my polyps

Hi new to the hobby and really enjoying it so far. Tonight while messing with the lighting in my tank I noticed this around the base of 1 of my polyps and have no idea what it is. Its bright yellow almost looks like it has tentacles. Is this something I should be concerned about? Trying to upload pics but not having any luck

Not sure what that is. Maybe a sponge? I'd give it a coral dip and see what happens
