i am going to wire a couple fans( computer cooling fans from comp usa) into my hood. need some help with the wiring can i splice these directly into my lights or do they need a diffrent power source.

They need a different power source.
Computer fans run on 12v DC. You need an AC/DC 12v adapter or a cheap/not-in-use computer power supply.

The fans should say on them what voltage they require. You would nee a transfomer to match this voltage.

They should also specify what amperage they draw. You add the amps together, then buy a transformer rated for at least that much.

yeah i have a ton of adapters just went through only one 12v need to go buy another one raido shack here i come

You don't need two transformers for two fans, unless you want to control them independantly. Just add the amps together on the fans and get a transformer rated for at least that amount.
