Help with 14 gallon Bio Cube

Has any one done any mod's on a 14 gallon Bio Cube I have almost everything I need to start my set up but I think I have seen some mod's out there any help would be appreciated

We're still new to SW. We got a 14g BC a month ago. The mods we have made are:
swapped out pump with Maxijet 900 for more flow
ordered light upgrade kit from Nanotuners for another 24W of PC lights (not yet installed)
Placed a small airstone in the back right chamber to increase air exposure to the water (to help PH)

That's it so far. Have read folks take out the bioballs and replace with LR rubble. But we haven't had a single spike, so I'm not sure it's needed.

Bump I know I saw were someone made a good fuge mod out of the bio ball chamber I just can't seem to remember were I saw it. Thanks for any help.

Cut the first chamber so you have more flow going through the filtration...
