So Im finally gonna start setting up for my 180 gal tank. I plan on ordering my tank in the next week or so. My goal is to build a in wall/ room separating tank. I have a span between my family room and kitchen area that is about 12 ft wide. I want to build a stand for the tank and then basically build a wall around it with access to all parts of the tank.

Im trying to build this on a budget but dont want to skimp on shotty parts. What im looking for is tips and advice for what I need to make this go well.

I planned on using my existing 55gal for a sump/refugium. I was told I might want to go with a 75 gal tank. Any thoughts on that?

The tank I have picked out is a marineland 180 72x24x24 with dual corner overflows.

What should I look at for equipment?

Does anyone have a similar setup they would like to share or post pics of to give me some ideas?

Thanks in advance. when I get it rolling I will post some pictures.

Look around more....you might not be getting many responses simply because its a rather generic question...Lot's of people come on asking for equipment recommendations for a particular size tank. So spend some surfing time looking at thread of people with similar size tanks and see what they are using!

It's probably more beneifical for you to do some research on parts that YOU want to run then ask what others think of the things you selected for your tank. There is so much info here that you should be able to get a good list of things you want to incorporate rather easily.
