Help with a couple of IDs

I've had part 1 of my TBS package for a little over a week. The cycle seems to be pretty much finished (ammonia = 0, nitrite = 0, nitrate = 10), so I went ahead and contacted Richard about sending part 2. He's sending it out on Monday.

In the mean time, I'm continuing to see new stuff show up and I'm still new to saltwater. The pictures below show two things I need help with identifying.

In this first picture, I'm trying to figure out what that thing is that has attached itself to the plant "leaf" in the middle of the picture. I'm guessing it's some kind of snail, but other than that, I have no idea. It's maybe a quarter of an inch long, and it's shell is very cone shaped as you can see in the photo. Mostly brown in color although it is striped with some yellow. Also, I'm assuming the "leaf" is some kind of macroalgae?

In this second photo, I've circled what I'm trying to id here to make it easier to see. The things are almost completely transparent tubes attached to several spots on the rock. They look very much like coral tubes except that they are so transparent. Again, any help with id would be appreciated.

With all of the life I've found on part 1, I can't wait to see what will be in part 2.

Its a snail. Does it look like it has a tube on its head? If it does its a whelk and should move it to your sump.

The second picture can not see what you are circling...

scowii, I was pretty sure it is some kind of snail. I didn't see a tube on its head. I have found another snail like that, so I assume that one is a whelk.

Anyone have any idea of how big a whelk will get? What do they eat?

Amyandlars, thanks for the id.

Here's a picture of another new critter I just found in the aquarium. I watched this guy move from one leaf of the plant or macroalgae to another by stretching itself out and staying attached by its tail end and grabbing on to another leaf with its mouth. It looks like another type of snail. Any idea what it is? In this picture its hanging upside down. It has two small antennae on its head. Its body is green with small spikes or some kind of protuberances spread out all over it.
