Help with a GBTA

Reef enthusiasm

Now, I'm going to say this first, I don't have any test kits beside strips at the moment because I have had a basic FOWLR tank for over 2 years.
I got a new BTA the other week (2 weeks ago) and
PHP:
it looked amazing. A week later, it was branched out as high as it could go between the Rock and glass, and then early on Monday, it started to deteriorate in health. It won't even open much, just a few tentacles hanging out, half open sometimes, or closed. I did a water change and it looked great after, not fully open but not nearly as bad. Today, after monitoring the water, my pH was a little low according to the strips so I got my pH raider ready, but I haven't used it yet. What can I do before I get a test kit?
My light is on the very low side being a "Fluval Sea"25000k 32 watt led
My tank is 30 gallons
No protein skimmer
If anyone has any input for a short term fix right now to kee the nem from getting worse, then I can work out a long term fix later.
Also, any good brand test kit I can get? Sold at a store preferably?
This was what he looked like when I got him, and the red circle is where he is now, I'll upload a better pic later of where he is and what he looks like later. http://m.imgur.com/GlIPMhZ

I am new to the hobby, however I have read that anemones thrive under intense light and also need to be fed once in awhile. I have had mine for a month or so and he is doing great but I have 165 watt LEDs above my 55 gallon so perhaps your lighting is insufficient?

Your light isn't sufficient for keeping anemones. It's ok for lower light corals at best, and is fine in a FOWLR tank.

You can upgrade to the Chinese black box LED's for under $100 shipping included if money is a factor. If not there are many choices for led's and some can get quite expensive. It all depends on what your lighting budget is.
