Help with AI Vega light

Hello, I have the chance of getting an AI vega light at a steal but the only issue is that it is missing it's controller. Now for any of you that have or had the light, would I need to buy a new controller or could I use the myAI app on it? Thanks for the help in advance!

You need a director to program the Vega

hey, sorry. You can use the controller or the director, either should work. Personally, I'd go with the Director so you can manage and program the light from your phone and/or computer

The Vega should be plenty for a tank that size, possibly too much so watch the intensity. To give you an idea, I had 1 Vega over a 24x24x24 tank and the highest I ran the light was 60%..I always hung them 12 inches from the water surface

Sorry to hijack, but I am in the same boat and seems silly to start a new thread. I am very confused. I scored 3 Vegas with power supply's but no controller. All I want to do is be able to set them up as I do with my previous AI Sols - turn them on with a slow ramp up, then peak, then ramp down.

Seems like controllers popup occasionally on ebay.

Can I use the AI Sol controller?

What are my options for getting to where I want to be and how does the myAI app help me if at all? Do I need to buy new hardware?

If someone could dumb this down for me, I'd really appreciate it!

The myAI app is only useful if you have the AI director if I remember correctly
