Help with Algae ID

My 120g is a little over 3 years old. A few months ago, this algae popped up out of the blue. I have not added one single animal or plant to the tank in the past 2 years so I'm really curious as to what it is. Please ignore the GHA...currently working on getting that under control.

* A description of the texture of your algae
> It grows as a mat with little round cups with pointy edges. Very feathery root structure. Appears to be more green than any other color.

* The location of your live rock or collection spot
> Live rock is a mix from the Pacific and Caribbean

* A description of the growth habit of your alga
> Growing on the rock immediately under a Radion LED. Highish flow. Growth pattern is like the mat is reaching out for more substrate to attache to. Vigorous grower.

Some sort of caulerpa on your hands. Grows similar to the teacup variety minus the pointy edges which I think is pretty cool. If you ever decide to share I'd take some :)

Thanks Finz.

I'm beginning to believe it's some form of caulerpa too. I do like it and am keeping it in hopes it will out compete the GHA that's rampant in my tank right now. I'll be trimming it and moving a good bit to my fuge in my sump. Once it grows out more, I'll def consider letting go of some so look me up in a month or two.

:)

I would say Caulerpa Racemosa var. Peltata, but your algae has tips on the plant, like a crown, which is slightly different.
