Help with anenome

Anthony Calfo refers to Mithrax crabs as "unpredictable" and "dangerous". I have to agree with him, I have personally witnessed a Mithrax crab attack a BTA. They are even known to kill small fish and eat corals. I would watch him carefully.

I have never seen a Mithrax around the BTA. I will keep an eye on them. Thanks

while i dont think your myrthax crab did this you might not know if it did because the myrthax crab does its dirty deeds at night

I fed the anenome today with 2 small pieces of silversides. I will post pics as I go along. Thanks

Glad to hear that it's eating, and really happy that you got this sorted out...Best wishes on the road to recovery!

It was beautiful when I got it. I never seen it with the bulb tips, thats why I thought it was a LTA. I will start to feed it silversides. I will post updated pics as it gets better. Thanks everyone.

They don't always bubble. I think I'm one of the few ones that wants my rbta to keep the long tentacles and not bubble :) I like the look of long tentacles right now, but that will probably change in time, if mine does bubble up, I'm sure I will think it's the prettiest thing ever!

Any possible way you could get a pic of the underside of that anemone. The pictures cant solidify species either way and im not sold on bta yet...

Oh, that's a big change. How's the nem doing today?
The pics of the underside are to see if there's verrucae (bumps) or not, this will confirm or rule out bta. If it's not a bta, then a pic of the foot will probably be helpful as well (you should include both :)) You can never have too many nem pics!!

Good luck!

I will keep you all updated with pics. I have fed it everyday since I was told it was dying due to starvation. Eats good, Its just hard to feed it without tentacles. I stood there for 22 minutes yesterday till the piece of silverside was gone. Thanks everyone.

Is there a condy in there too? I see more tentacles (upper right) that don't look like they belong to your bta. Don't know if this would cause any problems in a 150. Just me being curious :)

good eyes raoul

:) thanks

I could be wrong about it being a condy, but what little I can see of it looks kind of condy-ish.

I wondered if these mystery tentacles were close enough to touch as well, but know that depth of a picture can be misleading.

Still being curious :)
