I just bought a really sweet green shroom but it wasn't attached to anythign and now I need some help with how to attach it to a rock. I set it on a rock overnight but the current picked it off the rock just when it seemed like it was trying to attcah itself. Is there anything I can do to help it or speed the process up?

You can take a needle and thread and sew the base of it to a rock. Sometimes it will attach, and other times it will push the thread out and float off again. Superglue Gel won't work though because they create a mucous coating and they will slime off quickle. You can put them in a cup with crushed coral or live rock rubble in the bottom, rubber band some netting over the top so it can't escape, and then let it set until it attaches.

The guy at my LFS said to put a small rock ON TOP of it and it would crawl out from under and attach itself. Never seen it before but might be worth a try?

Put your mushroom in a piece of rock and cover it with a fine net. Hold the net in place with a rubber band and wait one or two weeks.

Good luck

I've attached mine by:::

1) using a small (clear) container with rubble at the bottom, place the ricordia or mushroom in the container, cover it with netting. (Bridal netting works great) Then rubberband the netting around the rim of the container. Put it in a low flow area of your tank. In a week or so, it should attach.

2) Placing the Ricordia on a rock, securing it with bridal netting. You want it secure enough so it won't escape... but not too tight because you have to allow for expansion when your lights come on.

Hope this helps you. :)
