I just bought a healthy looking 1.75" black and white Ocellaris from my trusted LFS and added it to my tank after acclimation.
I'm worried I handled it more on the transition than I should have (long story here) and he got too stressed out on the move. It's slime coat looks somewhat white or pasty in a few sections but he seems to be swimming around normally. Also, I noticed he seemed to have a small flap of slime coat coming off in a spot.
What do you think is happening here?
If he did get stressed out, what can I do to help him survive the adjustment well (feed a lot, keep the lights off, etc?)? Any tips appreciated.
Thanks in advance
