HELP with BRS reactor

Nope going in and out like it should. Do you have your exit lines submerged?

It didn't matter if it was or wasn't.
When flushing, it filled right up.
I'll try to remember to take a look at mine when I get home tonight.
How is air getting into it? In other words, what are you using to pump water in?

IT looked like the media had a pressure coming from above as opposed to below. Maybe the downtube inside is disconnected or leaking.

Using a maxijet 1200 that I got with their combo setup. When I open the valve all the way it makes the god fly up from the bottom. It makes sense that it's sucking in air from somewhere but I can't find anywhere it's leaking.

Your GFO should barely tumble, not "grind" and release fines. On a maxijet the valve should barely be cracked open. The bulk of the material should sit on the bottom and not "lower" when you cut it off. Look for a very slow roll of the product on the top. very slow. I used the same for a few years until I pulled all my GFO and GAC.

I understand that part. My problem is the water level falling below the gfo line for some reason. I only open it up fully in the video to demonstrate how the water level reacts.

Is the pump that is running it in the same chamber as your skimmer? I noticed on mine (TLF 150) that when I had it with skimmer it would pull in micro bubbles and slowly lower some. Not as much as yours but if it is taking 2 days it might be a source micro bubbles getting in somewhere.

I've had mine do that if it wasnt screwed on tight enough. Maybe clean the treading on both the top and the container.

You have the orange gasket in place on top of the cartridge tube and a nice seat against the mount?

BRS sent me That actually is totally normal. It may not look like it, but the water is still being forced upwards through the media and is still filtering your water properly. What is happening is that a small air pocket is trapped inside the canister. It can take a few days or so for the pocket to work its way out. In the meantime you can actually get rid of it quicker if need be. To do so, simply unscrew the canister from the reactor partially while it is running and the air bubble will get vented out. Right before the water comes out the top, then quickly close the canister and you should be good to go!

So I'm gonna give it a try

I have the dual reactor and Mine started getting more and more air into both reactors and I talked to BRS about it.

His solution was very easy.

in the white bracket underneath, on the right side of each one, there is a tiny hole that rids of the air; they become clogged. I did what He said and cleaned both holes with a paper clip and fixed immediately; NO AIR!

Hope this helps.
