Help With Bubble Tip Anemone

Just a quick question just popped into to check my tanks and found theat the Bubble tip anemone had crawled up the side of the tank, pulled the saftey guward off the power head then managed to get sucked into the power head itself.

have managed to free it eventually, but part of the anemone has come with the pump!! Will it be ok as i have read somewhere that they do split sometimes. The anemone is still partially open but the damaged bit has been curled up and just like we would do with our hands if we stuck it into a pump impeller shaft at full speed!!!

Or do i need to segregate it just in case it dies and takes the rest of the tank with it!!

My fish don't do this!!! :(

Sorry to hear about this. It has happened to a lot of people. Sometimes they make it, sometimes not. Keep an eye on it, but don't remove it unless you're sure it won't recover. Moving it to a separate tank might be too stressful right now.

A lot of times they are on the move b/c they aren't happy with the light and/or flow they are receiving. If you don't anemone-proof (or remove) the powerhead, this could easily happen again.
