hi all im in the process of choosing fish...im in love with ocellaris clownfish. I have a 130l/30 gallon tank. I was going to keep 6 in it however after reading up realised it isnt possible.....how can BRStv have a harem of 30 clownfish and not having them kill each other?

Is it possible for me to try to keep a harem?

can anyone suggest any colourful fish to keep with my pair of clownfish?

thanks all for ur help :)

A pair of sexually mature clowns will claim most if not all of the 30g for their territory.

A goby would fit well they are bottom dwellers and the clowns should not pay them much attention.

Look on live aquaria at the nano section of fishes. It is usually easier to give advice if you have some fish listed rather than blind guesses. Everyone's taste are a bit different. Good luck just my 2 cents.

brstv can have 30 clowns because they have a 120 gallon tank, and not a 30 gallon. you need a big tank for harems. for a harem, you need enough of one type of animal that there will be no aggression. they all look the same, so they are not able to target just one fish. i agree that a pair will take over the tank. you should get one clown, some gobies and maybe a small wrasse.

Doesn't BRS have a million anemones in the haram tank? That could be why they don't kill but I'm sure they do fight. Also they probably feed that tank like crazy!
