Help with dying chalice

my chalice looked great yesterday and today its just about gone!! nearly white all over i've got it down on the sand close to the rockwork i've had the piece for over a month now everything else looks great any help very much appreciated

Any other corals nearby that might have stung it? What are the water parameters? got a picture?

Not a clue.
I have fourteen Chalices, and my Hollywood Stunner (4"x7") just up and died a couple months back the same way and the rest are fine. Nothing around it to sting it, I was/am baffled.

yeah mine looked great day before then over night....BAM!!! white as a ghost!!

Have an orange one with pink eyes do this to me. The day before it was the best I'd ever seen it look. I'm assuming that it tried to color up to protect itself from the lighting and then it's little pigments couldn't keep up any longer. I put it in the far back corner of the tank in about 50 par and brought it back.

I just had this happen to me with a Hollywood stunner I have had for over a year. It started flourishing after I changed to the AISol light, then one day, a bit of white, the next day gone. Other than the SPS, everything else is great and all levels are perfect. Love to get some ideas on this.

You can tell from when I first got it till now. I had it bleach out. But over the past few weeks it's slowly coming back.

that is monti cap, but a good recovery

My stunner chalice did the same thing last weekend, turned completely white in a day. It was about the size of a 50 cent piece.

Still learning the name of things.
I had a Dyno problem and did the lights out thing for five days.
I think I put the LEDs on to bright.

Yeah I have piece of superman chalice bought the same day it don't look the best right now so I moved it back under the shade to see if that will help
