Help with eShoppes nano skimmer

Hi all,
I have a Coralife 32g LED tank with a InTank media tower and an eShoppes nano skimmer in the back. I never buy anything without researching it first, but was talked into this skimmer by a persuasive salesman NOT at my LFS. I've had nothing but problems keeping this thing adjusted and it is not working very well. If the water level shifts in the back of the tank even slightly, which it does, the bubbles either overflow the collection cup or are too far down to work properly. I have to adjust the thing numerous times a day, which is very inconvenient. Has anyone had this issue and are there any known solutions?

I had the same issue with my hydor slim skim. I said screw and took it off the tank. Now i just more frequent water changes.

That may be the way I go. I thought since the tank has a top and we lose very little water comparatively, that it would work OK, but its a constant headache. Not sure there is much value in it. Might have to get rid of it altogether.
