help with fish in qt?

I just isolated all my fish in qt b/c they all have ich. Well my question is that my tangs both don't want to eat at all. That goes for my mandarins as well. Can I use copper base products to clear ich on the mandarins. I have read yes and no. I know everyone says not to use medication on tangs and just use hyposalinity. I don't know how long my tangs can survive at the rate they are going. I soak their food in garlic and selcon as well. I have done this for a long time. The hippo tang has lost the vibrant blue now to a dull blue. I keep garlic soaked seaweed in there for them and take it out at least in the morning and when i get off work. The qt tanks salinity is sitting at 1.012. They get live brine, frozen brine, spirulina, seaweed for the tangs and the mandarins hunt only pods. They seem to not even try anymore. Can anyone help?

Well, brine isn't as nutritious as mysis or another alternative. Were they eating before the ich? You may need a different type of food to try and trigger a feeding response. It may be that they are too far gone though :( But it is worth it to try different things. As far as copper, I've not used it, I'm not a big fan of using it but that is just me. The mandarins are a different story all together, I guess if they are eating just pods, live brine may help, see about some arti-pods as well.

only problem with that is that i can't get all the things that you can get. I live in okinawa japan and I have looked around for it. Plus I can't get it shipped here either.

If you live by the coast, or not that far of a drive, you can net for glass shrimp. Which would be a better source anyway. You can catch some and get a holding tank so you can culture them. Just thinking about it, you will probably have to QT them as well, so maybe not a quick solution but better in the long run. I wouldn't recommend pulling live foods straight from the ocean into your tank, That would defeat the purpose of QT but, if they are isolated for a month or so, they should be safe than.
