I got a forktail blenny today and am having problems. I bought him and immediately came home and floated him in the tank, but unfortunately had to leave for a few hours for personal reasons. After about 3 hours in the bag, I finally started drip acclimating. It was just sitting at the bottom of the bowl while acclimating, very much alive though. When I finally got him in the quarantine tank, it started swimming around more before lying at the bottom, not moving. It's still breathing right now, but has developed these white patches all over its body, they looking almost like blotches of pixels.
Is this a mucus build up? Stress? my ammonia, nitrite are 0 with close to zero nitrate, I can't imagine what's causing it so much trouble, other than maybe the time in bag.
