Help With Glass Tank Build!!!

No problem. I wish I had saved a couple of them, but I didn't see any use for them at the time since I figured they would most likely be contaminated by the time I would have use for them. I wouldn't put them at anything thicker than 1/16", and didn't come anywhere near spanning the thickness of the pane they were attached to. I can see them being simple "assembly aids" that precluded the need to use assembly jigs to keep the panes a minimal thickness apart during curing. I would think you can accomplish the same thing with small pieces of fishing line of the right thickness (what I plan on using). Also, the edges of the panes were simply square cut. no milling or polishing whatsoever, and therefor super sharp.

Hmmm.... I was under the impression that the vertical glass sits on top of the base. Oh well.

I do like the idea of using spacers. Fishing line seems a very good way to go.

Method one of the article seems the most convenient way to assemble a tank. I'll go with that.

Still don't know if I should place the verticals on top of the base glass or on the side. I'm leaning towards placing the base glass on top.
