Help with Green Aussie Branching Duncan

Hey RC,

So after checking out my duncans closed one day I've noticed the branching tissue at the base deteriorating. The colony itself is around 1.5 yrs old (started with three heads). I've never had a problem with this colony until the last 3 months or so I added some sexy shrimp. They always seem to be on the stems pecking at it. I'm wondering if this is doing some damage or if this is just opportunistic and the root of the problem is disease. The piece I fragged from the same colony 6months ago is showing the same symptoms. Letme know what your thoughts are guys and any other info you need to help me save this colony. It's been opening up fully but doesn't seem to really "stick" to mysis when I try and direct feed. It's worth mentioning that the 6 sexy shrimp are almost always on either the duncan coral or candy cane which shows similar but less severe symptoms.

If I have to throw in a wrasse I'll do it. I do keep the tank well fed with a combination of foods (mysis, blackworms, cyclops, phtyo, and aminos) once to twice a day. I'm wondering If I should maybe give it a dip in coral rx

I had sexy shrimp that i moved into a nano i had running, because they would mess with my duncans. My duncans wouldnt open fully with the shrimp on them. Since the switch duncans are happy. Oddly enough the nano is a NPS tank and all six sexy shrimp live in my blueberry gorg with no negative signs to that coral.

In short i wouldnt blame disease. I would blame the new shrimp.

Hey Rich thanks for your experiences. I'm really thinking it's the sexy's too which puts me into a predicament. I really love the sexiest but I'm not sure if I really want to set up a whole nano tank for them. I mean idk how I could even catch them, they're fast!

Right now my stock is
2 clowns
1 copperband
1 vanderbuilt chromis
1 firefish

Anyone have a good fish suggestion to help me take care of this problem while making a nice addition to the tank?
