I need help growing a macro for nutrient export. I've tried many macros, sea grapes, chaeto, etc and none of them really last very long, I even tried sargassum. please help me to grow these. are there any good articles that might help. chaeto just seems to get full of debri in my tank. anyway to avoid this, it just sits there and fills up with debri.

no this is for my main display, 4 t-5 lights 2 65k and 2 actinic blue.
my bioload is 8 fish all small, clowns, firefish, cardinals, chalk bass. crew up crew of just snails, 1 cbs, 1 tux urchin.
I do have some mermaid fan growing but that is a plant which is totally different

Your lights are fine, but how deep is your aquarium? When you say your Chaeto fills up with debris, what do you mean?

its about 26" deep, what I mean is that i tuck the chaeto under a rock and it catches all of the debri that floats around the tank, imagine it as a piece of filter floss. I can't add iron as i have a clam

You should consider setting up a refugium, it would not cost too much and that is where I grow my chaeto. I keep the lights on 24/7 and it grows like a weed. It also buffers my ph so it doesn't swing.
