Help with guppies

I'm new to fish keeping and I'm getting a setup in the next few weeks. I'm planning on getting guppies but I've seen people selling guppies that have names such as "œBlue Cobra".

Basically where do these names come from? I would like to breed guppies but I'm unsure on how you name them.

The names come from people who breed them, then market and sell them.

You won't get much guppy help here, however. This is a saltwater/reef forum.
