Help with hair algae-Need advice...

I have a 20L and have a couple small pieces of LR hair algae. It is starting to spread to some larger LR and I want to keep it in check. Aside from the hair algae, the existing cleanup crew is doing a pretty good job.

I have the following in my tank already:

1 Tomato Clown
1 Purple Pseudochromis
1 Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
6 Scarlet Crabs
1 Mexican Turbo

No corals yet...

I am pretty much open to adding anything that will help with this. I just want to make sure whatever I add will play nice with the other critters. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks. :)

A good start would be to post your water parms, and do you use tap or RO/DI water. In addition how much you feed would be useful.

All params are zero aside from nitrates-5ppm. SG is 1.024. I use only distilled water. The LR with the hair algae came out of another tank. The lighting in this tank is much stronger, so it has started growing. I have not tested phosphates, and spot feed with a small turkey baster. There is usually very little if any food left over.

Get a toothbrush and use a wind-and-jerk to get the long filaments off. Then the snails have a chance at it. They can't eat the long stuff too successfully.
