Help with Hydra 26 HD settings

Hey folks,

Looking for some recommendations on starting settings for my new lights. I have 2 x Hydra 26 HD over a 36x18x25H tank. Primarily LPS (although a couple of SPS so you could call it a mixed reef). Light is 6-7 inches AWL.

The tank was recently just setup again, so all of the corals are down in my frag tank and I'll be introducing them back slowly so I'm not too worried about frying everything.

A friend of mine who keeps SPS in a tank with the exact same dimensions as mine suggested I try his light setup with the UV and W turned down a bit, since his lights are 12 inches

W. 34 (20)
V: 80
rb: 90
DB: 90
R:25
G: 75
Uv: 80 (30, then eventually 45).

I've played around with this and found it bit too blue with the lower white and UV...I'm guessing its closer to 20k spectrum.

I'm curious if anyone has some success stories in a similar sized tank (LPS/mixed) and if you would be willing to share some settings / guidance?

I definetly want to make sure I'm giving enough light, with a decent blue hue to it since it looks nice, but not blasting the corals too badly.

Oh, I typically run a 12 hour light cycle with 2 hour ramp up on either side.

Send me your email. I used a setup that Wazzel, who's had great success with Hydra's, and tweaked it for my tank when I ran 2 Hydra 26 HD's with very similar dimensions to you. I ran full sps dominant with some Zoas in the tank that did really well.
