Help with ID please

Can any one tell me what this is. It looks like black eggs and it's on my sand.

You mean the stuff on the rock? Hard to tell from your picture but looks like sponge to me...
How old is your tank? Did you use live rock?

Hey all thanks for the replies,
I am not running any carbon and the tank has been up for about 4 months now and i did use live rock. At this time i do not have any coral in the tank it would be very cool if Zoanthids grew out of this.

I used live rock that came from a tank that had black sand. Little grains would come out of the crevices, looked just like that.
Possible with your rock?

Zoanthids would throw-up black sand size stuff when they are upset...example do a water change and perimeters are different.

Hopefully what ever that is, it isn't bad.

You might want to see if you can siphon some of it into a small tupperware container. A few close up shots would definitely help with an identification. Also, what's the consistency like, how does it feel to the touch etc?

After googling some more i think its black tunicate. The texture is hard Cloak i'll try and get whats on the sand.
