Help with ID

Hi guys,

Just saw this today at the LFS and even they were unsure what it is:

The tail is either yellow or white (can't say because of the lighting) and the position of the mouth a bit off for a tang? Maybe an angel?

I did have something in the back of my mind with Thompson but couldn't link the dots...

Anyone with experience with this fish?

Similar to a mata tang but don't believe they get as large. Planktonic eaters. Also what's with the white spots on the face? Almost look like flukes.

Yeah, it seemed to have a few lesions reason why I decided to leave it alone unfortunately...
