I ordered lettuce nudibranchs, but was sent this. Anyone know what species this is?

And for anyone interested, the little shrimp is an emperor shrimp that lives on nudibranchs and sea cucumbers!

Found it Ceratosoma sinuatum. Eats sponges and commonly mislabeled as lettuce nudibranchs.
In case anyone else was wondering.

I think nudibranch's are one of the most beautiful creatures in the sea. That symbiotic relationship with the shrimp is just too cool for words. I think it would be cool to have a tan full of different nudibranch's but probably not very practical since they mostly all have different feeding habits.

Very cool as long as you have sponges to feed it... Some of them have very specific diets.... You may have success trying sponges that are endemic to where it comes from and also one that is of the colours displayed on the animal ... Like yellow for example!

I've got tons of sponges in my DT and in my sump on rocks. I might have to look into a sponge eating nudi. My only worry is a fish would probably eat it.

Most sponge-eating nudis are very specific in their diet. They will only eat one species, and once they wipe it out, they'll starve.
