Help with images :)

Hey guys,

Just dusted off our old D90 with a Nikon DX 18-1055mm lens and took two quick pictures of our fish.

I don't like how the flash kind of washes out the picture, but feel it's needed to catch a fast moving fish.

Any tips on taking better pictures?

Would I need a different lens and flash setup?

Just the flash on the camera body.

No tripod, just grabbed the camera and took three pics (Chevron darted on one lol)

The lights were on (About 60%), but the flash overpowered it.

Camera was in auto mode.

Did auto-contrast in photoshop, since there was a bit of a grey tinge on the image.
