Help with Mushroom KIller

I was hoping someone could help me before it's too late. I went home last night to look at my tank and everything was fine. I woke up in the morning and my mushroom was gone completely (devoured by something I presume).

Does someone have any info for me before it happens to another of my pieces?:mad2:

Well if it vanished without a trace it could have just popped off and travelled in the current behind or under something out of sight. What kind of tank inhabitants do you have? A possible predator that could be hiding that I know of is Hermodice Carunculata. Caribbean fire worm. I personally experienced one of them eating on my ricordea and BTA's. They are very good Majano and Aiptasia eaters by the way. But they eat shrooms and good anemone's as well. Very voracious and very pretty.

Not much really eats an entire shroom overnight that you wouldn't happen to notice though. Better check around it might just be behind something in a dead space where the current deposited it. Your going to have to give more information about what you have in your tank if it's truly eaten.

What kind of shroom is it? It is known that yumas tend to melt away completely without a trace if they're streesed. I once had a pink yuma completely gone in a day.

It's either a floater now or he has a Eunice worm.

My money is on the floating mushroom theory.
I have five hiding under rocks... and doing fine.
Mushrooms... go figure.
