Help with my aqua life mini skimmer

Hello. I have a 29 g oceanic biocube. I just got my skimmer today and it's not working correctly because it's getting submerged. My LCD told me these are for nanos but the only way it works is with the whole tank lid up and that's just not going to work lol.

Does anyone have a nano with this skimmer? And if so please tell me how you have it set up. Thank you for your help

I had mine in the first chamber. The water was just covering the top of the body. In 2 months the best I could manage was a light tea colored skimmate.

If you have only been running yours a day then you may want to give it a few days to break in. You could try lowering the water level as well.

Many people get a dark colored skimmate, the below picture shows what I managed to get.
