Hi guys,
I'm setting up my 12G aquapod at work this weekend and I need some advice. I already have the JBJ Viper coming in the mail for my lighting but I'm somewhat stuck on whether or not I should block out those lower vents for the water to flow into the 1st chamber.
On one side, I believe the lower vents would help out the system by creating some current behind the rockwork because it will be "sucking" water.
On the other side, I believe blocking the lower vents will increase the amount of water flowing through the top overflow. This is beneficial because it will help get rid of more surface scum.
What have you guys been doing and how did you justify it?
