Hello,
I'm new to the forums. I joined the other evening. I just had a quick question about my clam. I also posted this in the "New to the Hobby" forums. But, I was directed here. I just copy and pasted the rest...
I've only had it for about a week. When I went to turn my aquarium light on last Saturday morning. I found slime covering almost everything in the tank. I had heard that they released mucus when they felt in danger. But, it has specks in it. When I took a few photos of it with macro and then zoomed in, it looked like small clams. Is it possible that it had reproduced shortly before I received it?
Here are a few pictures that I took this afternoon. Which, as pictured, the incurrent and excurrent siphons were both out. Therefore, it could have released its young, right? But, it could also be feeding...
What are your thoughts?
Edit: This is freshwater by the way...
