I got 2 Percula clowns about 5 days ago from the LFS one was a little larger actually almost double the size of the other one and it had been swimming around the tank in the LFS and the little one was a new arrival still in the bag. I bought both and put them in my 30g tank. All the levels are good but the littler clown that was still in the bag has been rapidly breathing at the bottom corner of the tank. I figured he would be super stressed and the bigger clown was really picking on him at first. I've been told a bunch of different things.
1. that the fish are establishing dominance and that after a week or so he should be ok.
2. that he is super stressed and to separat him into a new tank for a little while but if i do that will he be able to be returned to the tank our would it be better for him to go back to the LFS?
The fish still eats but not as much as the dominant one although half the size, his color is still good, but he hasn't raised his dorsal and is becoming less active. The larger one is very social and swims around but will return to the little one and just kinda swims above him in the corner.
