help with my clowns

i have two clowns i bought them as a pair don't think there mated but they always got along till a day ago they seem to be trying to see who's the boss i guess and they are nose to nose and nipping from time to time. was wondering if anyone could confirm that they are trying to i guess get mated or become mated together just curious forgive me if i sound stupid.

sounds like they are trying to establish dominance, mine did that too. Now one got bigger and darker and eats more (female)

You sure that's the case on the darker thing? I have a black and an orange. The orange one's coloration has gotten really dark, but the black is bigger.

i think that is right they are getting along this morning.

ya i have a black one and an orange one too. my orange one is bigger and gotten darker I guess this is normal. My black one has gotten a dark patch in the white, its hard to tell if its just normal or a problem.
