hi guys,
i have a questions about a large derasa clam of mine. ive noticed lately that it hasnt been expanding its mantle as much as it used to and recently its been leaning over sort of lop-sided. everytime i tried to correct it and stand it back up it just fell back over. i lifted it to check underneath and the muscle that holds the clam together (aductor?) is torn and seems to be sloughing away. you can acctually see into it from underneath. ive had the clam for about 3 years now, and its grown alot since i first got it. its under 1200 watts of mh and 320 vho. i feed gp's and phyto regularly so i feel like it has been getting plenty of food. i havent noticed any boring snails or anything like that. it sits on a dsb if that helps. any of you have any idea what happening? im afraid it may be too far gone now, but if theres anything you guys think might help please let me know.
thanks in advance
