okay my lps went through a rough time when I was honing in calories trace minerals and of course water changes.

Then I honed in perfect water conditions and :

It regrew around the edges, but there were a few spots where the skeleton was showing around the middlish are of the coral.

Now to the problem (talked to two lfs owners who gave me different answers) and I cant find anyhting researching so Im asking for expert advice.

Is this an infection, disease or what? How should I treat it?

A dip of coral revive is never a bad idea to help promote healthy 'regrowing' tissue. Best of luck.

Thats not really the question though, do you guys think it is a fungal infection or a disease?

The guy at the lfs told me a lugols dip would work good but Im worried about causing damage to the coral. If its not an infection but rather tissue regrowth then Im definently not doing a lugol dip (cant afford revive right now otherwise I would get it)

Please help guys

infection, disease or just tissue regrowth?
